I got a CD last month from Finland, that was contributed to the
project

That has a LOT of good stuff on it ..... problem !

It's from Finland..... and the doc's and most of the directories are
pretty much useless to an English audience. (That hasn't stopped me
from clicking on a bunch of programs, and being amazed at what they
do...... but I always was kinda crazy)

Does anyone know of a GOOD translator for Finnish to English ??? so
at least I can translate the dox , for the games and stuff to
english. ( Using Google's translator is pointless--- it doesn't
support Finnish ...... and most of the online translator's for
Finnish, are full of virus's and bad Java script's.

A stand alone program ,would be ideal.... but a "safe" web site will
work too, for the SEQ files at least, which I can convert from Petsci
to Txt

Hey Reeko.....

I have a friend who is Finnish and he was educated here in the
States. Let me drop him an email and see if he knows how to handle
this.

Looking for a translator.... I stumbled on this....
http://ssshotaru.homestead.com/files/aolertranslator.html

The AOL translator ..... I call it the "cell fone translator", in my
own mind.... you call it what you want, but anyone who does any kind
of text messaging, or has teen-agers at home, will get a smile for
sure. Just paste a TXT message in the the box, and translate it.

It also reminds me sooooooo much of the "lingo" we all used to use
back then it's kinda scary LOL

I'm PHREAKED OUT MAHN

anyway, this guy, shows the code , so you can mess with it, to fit
your needz.. just RGT CLK it, and save it ... it could be fun to play
with

How much is a "lot" in this case?

Contact me at my email address, and I'll see what I can do... or repost
that message to sfnet.atk.cbm, which is a Finnish-language Commodore
enthusiast newsgroup. (Not too lively these days, but the old farts such
as myself still read it.)

An online machine translator? I'm pretty sure such thing doesn't exist
as a free service.

(And if anyone is going to suggest that Translation Experts / Intertran
web page, please don't... it's horrible... there seem to be dozens of
websites translated from English to Finnish with that one, and they're
all complete and utter gibberish. It's about as good as picking words
from a dictionary at random.)
