From: jeff on 2 Dec 2007 11:26 I no longer have any sound on my Tungsten E. Preferences are set correctly. Alarm clock works but no sound. Only change I have had is to download a new sync program as I had to have a new OS, as previous one was defective. Any ideas? TIA jeff

Do you hear any sound with headphones?
From: Matthew Fries on 3 Dec 2007 01:44 Can you qualify "no sound"? Press the reset button on the back... do you hear the startup sound? Is there no sound from the internal speaker? Is there no sound from the headphone jack? Is there no sound from BOTH? Never used headphones. Pressing the reset button produces no sound. There is no sound period. I talked to Palm and they adviced a hard reset. This also did not work. I guess my next step is to buy another device, an E2 jeff Matthew Fries wrote: > Can you qualify "no sound"? > > Press the reset button on the back... do you hear the startup sound? > Is there no sound from the internal speaker? > Is there no sound from the headphone jack? > Is there no sound from BOTH? > > > On Sun, 02 Dec 2007 16:26:42 GMT, jeff <jeff(a)klippes.com> wrote: > > >>I no longer have any sound on my Tungsten E. >>Preferences are set correctly. >>Alarm clock works but no sound. >>Only change I have had is to download a new >>sync program as I had to have a new OS, >>as previous one was defective. >>Any ideas? >>TIA >>jeff > > > Thanks. > > > Remove the BALONEY from my email address. > ----------------------------------------------------- > Matthew Fries Minneapolis, MN USA > freeze(a)baloneyvisi.com > > "Quit eating all my *STUFF*!" - The Tick |
