Pan problems with OpenSuse10.2?
Is any one else using Pan 0.132 under OpenSuse 10.2, specifically with a BTinternet connection? I note that in articles I've written in the Body Pane it gives the timezone as abcd -0600, yet in the Header Pane the time is my (i.e. local, GMT) timezone. Is this a featurette of Pan (and if so, is there a way to ... 13 Nov 2007 11:15
Desktop icon
Hi I've managed to screw my Desktop up. A little knowledge etc. Using Fedora 7 + Gnome. The Desktop icon no longer has the small additional Desktop symbol and the folders that were contained within the Desktop are now displayed on the main screen. I was hoping the differentiation was contained with Properti... 11 Nov 2007 04:40

Console form type input
I'm looking to collect some repetitive data from the command line. It'd be nice to have an on-screen form for the users. I've never used perl for this kind of thing before, can anyone point me at some relevant documentation for generating an on-screen form? Learning Perl doesn't get that far. Can't access website from Linux
I can't access https://www.payperdrop.eu from Linux with Firefox, Konqueror or w3m: it just waits (almost) indefinitely for the socket to open or eventually times out. But I can access the site from Windows on the same PC, also using Firefox. I remember there used to be some kernel congestion option that caused ... 10 Nov 2007 09:31

Graphics Adaptors for Dual Headed on Ubuntu
I have a dual headed machine currently running Win2k. I want to move it to Ubuntu, still dual headed. It currently has an ATI radeon 7000.
