From: DougBarron on 15 May 2006 16:09 I downloaded the update I found at: http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html and believe I followed the instuctions pretty careful. But I am no guru with all this. I have a Flash site that is for a small business. I republished it for Flash Player 8 as the html fchoosing the HTTTPS option, and also select detect Flash version. Some of the viewers of the site are still having problems. They see the alternate content I put on the website, but when they go to install they get the message: "unable to authenticate installer." I suspect they do not have adminstrator privileges. Is there any way around this problem. This viewers are a good example of people who will be viewing this site. The site is at: www.precisionsalescoaching.com. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks - Doug

From: DougBarron on 17 May 2006 11:41 Kevin, First thank you for responding. But if I understand the thread you sent me to correctly that involves installing Flash 8. Flash is running fine for me. My problem is in regards to a site I made that some viewers can not see. I published to Flash 8 for the new MS ActiveX content and also for Flash version Detection. I have tried uninstalling Flash Player and then installing lower versions to test and it always works for me directing me to install the Flash 8 Player, but again some other viewers for some reason I can not understand this is not working. I am stumped. Thanks again, Doug
