From: A1 on 2 Feb 2005 11:50 I need help diagnosing a problem with my Palm. I have an unresponsive touch screen, despite no physical damage to the screen nor the unit itself. Has anyone ever encounter of heard of such problem? Please advise.
From: GeorgePSW on 2 Feb 2005 13:20 May depend on what mode you are in... If you are in scratch pad, your problem could be as simple as you have the unit set to "eraser" instead of one of the penstrokes. If this is the case, the unit will act dead to any attempt to write.
From: pinkshell on 2 Feb 2005 15:11 I had the problem with my Palm Visor Edge. I tried all the resets as described in the manual, no success. After the last reset, it prompted my to recalibrate the touch screen - which it couldnt. So I left it on, hoping it wouldnt turn off. So I figured it would go through a power on reset. After a day or so, I recharged it and the touch screen was back alive!!! Don't forget to save your data. - Tom, Germany

I had this, when my screen protector was cut a bit too wide, and the edge of the plastic sheet had "tucked under" the frame of the T5. Nothing at all worked then. Removing the screen protector instantly solved it. |
