From: HydroDan on 21 Apr 2008 13:13 Hello, I purchased Flash MX 2004 a few years ago as an educational version for about $100. Now I am cosidering putting some flash animations on my web site, though I'm assuming I will need a professional liscence for that. Without having to pay the full $700 for the new CS3, is there a way to just buy the lisence/upgrade my MX2004 version ot professional version? If no one knows, does anyone know where I can send an email to Adobe on this subject? Thanks!

Adobe isn't selling that version of Flash anymore, but according to the Flash product page (specifically, the upgrade section) ... http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/upgrade/ .... it looks like you can purchase Flash CS3 for $199 if you have Flash 8 or Flash MX 2004. Sounds like a no-brainer! :) David Stiller Adobe Community Expert Dev blog, http://www.quip.net/blog/ "Luck is the residue of good design."

I read that, digested it, and forgot it by the time I replied. > Would they let me upgrade form educational MX2004 > to professional-lisence CS3? I honestly don't know, but my hunch says its not especially likely. Still, it's worth asking! If you call the toll free sales number (800-585-0774), I imagine you'll find out pretty quickly.
