Have been watching network traffic since installing Little Snitch a few
days ago. Hasn't really uncovered any surprises, which is a good thing
of course, but it has uncovered a curiosity.

If I use ping from Terminal, vmnet-natd accesses the same site I'm
pinging. That's even if VMware isn't actually running so it's not a
virtual machine that's doing it - it the nat daemon itself.

Anyone care to guess as to why that might be?
