What steps should I follow to send simple email messages (without
attachment) to our Notes Mail system? I'am preparing a rather simple
customer support DB and would like to be able to send mail (from
within VO) to Lotus Notes mailserver. On the client stations Lotus
Notes 6.5.4 has been installed. If someone has some sample coding this
would be highly appreciated.

Thks for any support on this.

Brgds,
Rob

Rob,

Google this NG and you will find some postings from Richard Townsendrose and
myself from a few months back. They just bring some older postings up to
date. It is soooo easy :o)

Gosh, that must be disappointing to still have a Lotus Notes yoke
hanging around their necks <g>.

Sadly, for some things it does work rather well!

<rofl> ...the horse and cart works well for some things too.

Fortunately we are seeing the end of Lotus Notes here in Oz. Very few
major businesses remain with it and really only the dinosaurs and those
who don't pay for any changes are left holding that baby. Yes it worked
and in the early 90's served many of us well but these days it just
doesn't fit.

There are much better solutions now for almost anything Notes and Domino
did and there certainly isn't the place any more for the replication
model it was based on. I say good riddance but I acknowledge it is still
out there and in cases, has to be interfaced with. Good luck...
