From: Iain71 on 14 Apr 2008 07:29 Is this possible in Fireworks as it is in Dreamweaver (CS3)? ie having each open image listed in tabs along the top, rather than as separate windows? When I search help for 'tabs', I found this : 'When your document is maximised, you can easily choose among multiple open documents using the document tabs that appear at the top of the document window. Each open document displays it's filename on a tab that appears above the view buttons' ..but I can't see it at all, or even an option to change the view.... This is on the Mac version if that makes a difference...

It's PC-only. There's no such thing as "maximized" on a Mac. Use Expos (F10) to tile all open documents, then choose the one you want.
From: JoeyD1978 on 14 Apr 2008 10:30 I found this screen shot on Google Image Search that shows the tab system at the top: http://images.gamedev.net/features/reviews/fireworks_cs3/shot2.png I can't find any Mac screen shots however, so I'm not exactly sure if you have the same setup. There are no options that I'm aware of in the Windows version that would allow you to disable the tab system - so that would lead me to believe it's absent in the Mac version.
From: Iain71 on 14 Apr 2008 13:51 OK - thank you. It may be absent for somereason - I can't remember doing anything in DW to enable it. It's not that big a deal, just wondered if I was missing it somewhere!

Dreamweaver just seems to open documents maximized automatically. If you have a document already maximized in Fireworks, anything else opens maximized with a tab also. SKB |
