The grail :) Something I have searched for here and there. There is dia which may read a file format exported from visio. There is kivio which is a kde application which I looked at awhile ago. Truth be told, I am now down to one application that I need on a daily basis for my work assignments. I found a project management tool that works and can read MS Project datasets. The whole thing with visualization software like visio leaves me still needing an XP box or VMWare. Dia is definitely not the same. I don't honestly know whether kivio can read visio files directly or whether you need to export to some other format. The project management tool is not Planner or whatever its called. Its a very nice java application called Project Desktop which a client was nice enough to purchase copies of for us all to use on a project. We got so used to it that now we all run it whether on Windows or Linux or whatever. If you find Visio for Linux and it has all the same abilities but perhaps none of the cost, let me know :) -- Michael Perry | do or do not.
