From: Matthew Long on 4 May 2008 17:54 Hiya, a friend wants to know if he can use the Vodafone USB dongle for 2G only? Yes, I know it will be painfully slow, but there's no 3G coverage what so ever where he is! So are these dongles 2G/3G? Or 3G only? Cheers, Matthew Long

They will normally operate on both, falling back to GPRS when only a 2G network is available. Chris

They will work in any area of coverage, and always utilise the highest available network speed, so yes it will work and yes, it will be painfully slow. -- Regards Jon
