From: Marty on 3 Mar 2006 14:11 Just bought a WD passport 120 gig usb drive and it works great on my workstation which has win XP64. When T took it home to transfer some stuff to my home computer which has Win 2000 sp4 with all the updates it recognized the drive but was very slow...and when i tried to access it it and an error message popped up saying i have an I/O error. Now the comp won't even recognize it. The event viewer shows a bunch of error saying there is a paging error on "DRV2B". Any ideas on what i could do to resolve this??

If you are trying to operate the drive from a USB hub, try connecting it directly instead. Try using a different USB cable. If the drive supports external power (I'm not familiar with the particular one you are using, some drives do, some drives don't) then make sure you are using it. Finally, does the drive operate properly on some other computer? -- John McGaw [Knoxville, TN, USA] http://johnmcgaw.com
