XP SP2 requires http://support.microsoft.com/?id=893357 and you may need a newer driver for the wireless NIC. also, what router? may need a firmware upgrade to support WPA2 if it is an old router. If you install the patch (as mentioned in Barb post) and your Wireless source is WPA2 encrypted it means that your card currently is Not WPA2 compatible.
