All of a sudden Firefox will not start; icon bounces around, then disappears. Any clues? 10.3, KDE

If that doesn't help, rename ~/.mozilla to ~/.mozilla_bak and try again. If it works then, put back the things in ~/.mozilla_bak to ~/.mozilla and see each time if that was the problem. OK, perhaps not one by one, but X at a time, so you can determine which one was at fault and still have all your settings correct. If that doesn't work, re-install firefox and see if that work. Then copy all of ~/.mozilla_bak to ~/.mozilla and see if that works. The procedure should be: close firefox change ~/.mozilla start firefox houghi -- All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others.

Both Opera and Firefox do that for me if I try to start multiple instances of them -- Best Regards: Baron.
