From: Blackhawk on 17 Oct 2005 21:08 P5 upgrade received 2 hours ago. Just started to register..... manual says S/N on back of the case. Nope... nothing remotely resembling a S/N there. Of course, they are shut down for the night, so I have to wait till tomorrow to find out what kind of circus it's gonna be this time. I had seen some posts here saying S\N's would be posted via e-mail.... Nope. Why do they jerk us around this way? Bob Beals Not a happy camper.

Camping's my specialty... uhhh... at least, it's my hobby... well, actually it's my least favourite mode of shelter from the elements. Ask, and ye shall receive... a scattershot bunghole-spraying of pointless, utterly mindless drivel about camping. None of it will be of any use to you, since it all has to do with things like protecting your toothpaste from black bears, keeping no-see-ums out of your nostrils, and effective-but-still-economical assaults on a horde of 1/4lb banana slugs.

It said I was preregistered with Cakewalk and to copy those numbers into my manual for future use. I don't know why they did it different with others. Maybe they don't like your attitude.<g>

I can't remember how it works but I wonder if they use the e-mail you furnish when you purchase the upgrade (did you get a confirmation on purchase?) or the email you had the last time you registered with them. Maybe something's up with that. Het Bob, That sucks. I just received mine (S5P) 2 days ago. Received the serial# and reg # the day before in an email. Why the hell don't they do it all the same? I feel for you.relly blows!
