I could kick myself (well, you know what I mean) for not buying one for
about the same price a few years ago. I still mourn not having it. It's over
twice that now if you can find them.

Certainly, but the cool thing there is one piece of hardware serves all the
bits of software for most of us, and, in this day and age, most of us would
likely have a computer independent of any music uses anyway, so the main
extra bits are a better audio card, better speakers, whatever MIDI
controller you use, and the cables to connect those. And, of course, the
extra disk space and possibly RAM that you might not need if you were just
doing "computer things". Then again, may people use their computers for
video nowadays, and that can be pretty demanding, too.

And I don't have dedicated computer for music, though my computer is almost
certainly more beefy than I'd need, especially on the disk space front, than
if I weren't using it for recording.

I still have two of them - they're still great sounding mics.

Moog Sonic 6.
$900 in 1978.

$30 a year for 30 years.....not bad for the use of a classic analog
synth<VBG>
