Why does dell and Crucial say it takes PC3200 Memory sticks, Yet when
you take out the old ones it has PC3200U on them and the PC3200 ones
do not work? Is there any way of fixing the bios so you can run PC3200
sticks?

They should work as long as they are not larger than Dell says the
system will support. I have older systems that will take 512MB but not
1GB DIMMS.

Could just be bad memory.

One advantage of Crucial is they guarantee it will work.

Your original thread below would've handled this fine. There's really no
need to have two threads going at the same time over the same issue.

Get on the phone to Crucial tech support and hash it out. They'll make it
right.

Sorry for the double post. It never looked like it went thru the first
time.
