From: Ajanta on 5 Nov 2005 11:07 Just installed Little Snitch on trial basis, and I see a few messages like: "SyndicationAgent wants to connect to c10-btg-xw-lb.cnet.com on TCP port 80 (http)" I clicked "deny" and nothing untoward happened with what I was doing. But I am curious: What is SyndicationAgent? Good, bad? I have PB with osx 10.4.3.

Google says: <https://developer.apple.com/releasenotes/InternetWeb/SafariRSS.html> and that tells us: "The SyndicationAgent process downloads news articles in the background every half hour (by default). Safari launches it when you view a news feed or bookmark a "feed:" URL. You may want to add the agent to your startup items so it will start fetching news as soon as you log in. You can do this via the usual startup items list in the Accounts system pref panel. The agent can be found in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Syndication.framework/Resources/Syndica tionAgent." So: not bad. -- Cillit
