From: SF on 2 Jul 2008 23:34 Hi, What I should have to use access to work with touch screen function? Do I have to acquire a special hardware? I read the follwing http://bytes.com/forum/thread619471.html it appear to be very simple. SF
From: strive4peace on 3 Jul 2008 00:11 you would need a touch screen monitor (cannot make any recommendations). if you do not want to use a keyboard at all, then your application would need to be designed to take advantage of the touch screen (with the ability to enter text and numbers) ... so "very simple" it is not... From: Mark on 3 Jul 2008 10:53 Touching a point on a touch- screen is identical (as far as the application is concerned) to clicking there with a mouse so no additional modifications to the application is required. We don't need you here !! Hey Mark/Steve!! We don't want you here !! This is to inform 'newbees' here about PCD' Steve: http://home.tiscali.nl/arracom/whoissteve.html (updated, mainly the 'abuse-reporting' page...) Until now 5850+ pageloads, 3675+ first-time visitors (these figures are real and rapidly increasing) Why is this ??? Because Steve is the ONLY person here who continues to advertise in the groups. It is not relevant whether he advertised in *this* particular post or not... ==> We want him to know that these groups are *not* his private hunting grounds! For those who don't like too see all these messages: ==> Simply killfile 'StopThisAdvertising'. Newbees will still see this warning-message. ArnoR

While that is true, generally applications with a touch screen do NOT use mouse or keyboard ... and, in that case, the application needs to have a way to enter data using the screen ... unless ALL the user would be doing is simulating mouse-clicks Warm Regards, Crystal remote programming and training Access Basics 8-part free tutorial that covers essentials in Access http://www.AccessMVP.com/strive4peace * (: have an awesome day :) * Mark wrote: > Touching a point on a touch- screen is identical (as far as the application > is concerned) to clicking there with a mouse so no additional modifications > to the application is required. > > Steve > > > "SF" <xyz(a)yahoo.com> wrote in message > news:eQ7uk4L3IHA.1200(a)TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >> Hi, >> >> What I should have to use access to work with touch screen function?
