From: William P.N. on 5 Feb 2005 12:08 I've just been given a Gateway Solo 5300 in trade, and while the motherboard is pretty well hosed, the LCD appears to be fine. Is it worth trying to sell the LCD (or the complete laptop as parts-only) on eBay, and any idea what I might get for it? Thanks!

The screen does work, though, and on further reflection I'd probably toss in the chassis, in case anyone wanted the battery, drives(*), keyboard, etc. (*) I'd have to wipe the 12G hard drive, as this was a client's machine. [I'm really trying to figure out what this kind of thing might be worth, rather than offering it at this point, as I don't want to spend a lot of time on it for under (say) $100 when my kids and I can derive at least that much enjoyment from scrapping it for parts. 8*] Thanks!
