I have a new Samsung Saga running Windows 6.1. So far I haven't been able to
check for Windows Updates. I just ran a manual check and got

Result code: 80072ee7

My windows Mobile ID is
15C2EA5A-A5B4-572B-B9C6-34C857-54BEEB

The phone was connected to a Windows XP Pro SP3 desktop with a broadband DSL
connection. How do I make this work?

Don't bother, there aren't any updates.

If two men agree on everything, you may be sure that one of them is
doing the thinking.

Well, that certainly simplifies the issue! Thanks for the information, but -
what if there were?? (Never mind, the question is rhetorical...)

Arguably, if there were an update, you'd be able to connect! ;)

Seriously, I get a connection error now as well, where I used to get a "No
updates available for your device" message. I just assume, Microsoft took
down the unused server.

From what I understand, it was setup for OEMs and mobile operators to use
to issue updates, and none of them took advantage of it.
