From: B2 on 9 Apr 2008 19:44 I have been unable to find instructions for disassembling and reassembling a Winbook FX laptop. This this is over ten years old and still works fine (for its intended purpose) except that the display is going dark. I figure it probably just needs a new backlight. I've taken other laptops apart ( and put them back together) but with the aid of a tested procedure. Winbook has never made the service manual available. I know someone must have ventured down this path before. Has anyone on the group ever taken a part a Winbook FX and documented the steps - or have a copy of such a procedure? I'd hate to break the case looking for the magic spring lock. The thing is built like a tank and should last another 10 years if I can fix the backlight.
