Philips SNA6500 won't connect automatically
My dad has a Philips SNA6500 wireless router and we can't figure out how to get it to connect to the internet automatically. You have to go to to 192.168.2.1 in a browser and press a "Connect" button. We've been thinking of setting up some kind of home server to connect to remotely, maybe remote desktop or somethin... 24 Apr 2008 14:15
Newbie Questions about WAP connected to Router
My understanding is that a wireless access point (WAP - its LAN port connected to one of the baseline routers LAN ports) can pull an IP address from the baseline router (baseline router is set up for DHCP with some IP addresses set to static - specifically, the IP address assigned to the WAN by the baseline rou... 13 Apr 2008 15:57
multiple WAPs - physical proximity
I was at a friends small office, and noticed their WAPs in the back room. For some reason, they had acquired a couple of Linksys b/g WAPs and had "stacked" them on top of each other..... they fit so nice :) So the antennas were almost touching each other. I was wondering, if you were going to run 2 WAPs in very... 13 Apr 2008 15:07

Hi, I'm in the middle of writing a post about the old Mac laptop i posted about earlier. In short, I had the browser working for a half hour and then I had to go out. Now, a couple days later, I wanted to use it some more. With the browser, iCab, I'm getting a Network error #3221. Netscape isn't doing any... 15 Apr 2008 17:05

WAP
Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a WAP that supports 802.11a, b,g, and pre-n? It must support the latest WPA protocol and have an Ethernet connector. I'd like as much of the trimmings (special features) as possible without running the price out of the ballpark. Regards, Fred Atki... 13 Apr 2008 12:43
