We are working on a ppt file, and after save the document, on we re-open it the charts (linked or not) was substituted per a red X. if we double click on it, the chart appears, but...just until re-open. the pictures dont appear again. how to solve it? it is for today. best regards -- regards from Brazil Thanks in advance for your feedback. From: Luca Brasi on 31 May 2008 04:35 If images (like jpg) show up fine, it sounds like you don't have write access to the "Temporary Internet Files" folder (or it even doesn't exist). PowerPoint caches the image of a chart object in-there. Open the Windows registry, go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders" and check the "Cache" value. You might want to set it to something like "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files".
