"licence" is a perfectly acceptable spelling. In fact, in many
English-speaking countries, it's considered the proper spellling.

Like here in England where the language was invented :-)

PS I also hate that language abomination, the verb to leverage. You
lever things or you apply leverage.

I used to know a guy who was always referring to the US and the UK as
"Two countries divided by the same language". ;-)
