Thanks Well. If you had an extended warranty, you would know to whom to send it. There are five or six or so major contract refurbishers in the US that do repairs on computer equipment covered by extended warranties from large resellers. Google 'notebook repair companies' to get an idea. Most of these companies are subsidized by computer manufacturers, resellers, etc., in addition to the cost of the extended warranty so that their out of warranty repair charges are not going to be inexpensive. Given your situation, I think I would send it back to AlienWare for evaluation. Be aware that computer capabilities are likely well advanced with respect to the capabilities of your notebook, and you will likely have the choice at about equal cost to you of buying a new notebook or having your current notebook repaired.
