From: ems38 on 2 Jul 2008 15:07 I am having the same problem: all documents new and old are locked. But my Office software is activated, and it was not a trial version. Any ideas? Thank you! From: Bob Buckland ?:-) on 16 Jul 2008 22:08 Hi P., That message can indicate several possibilities, one of which is that the document has been marked as 'final' in Word 2007 or that it is in fact locked for editing. Some other common issues can be: (a) you had a 60-day trial version of Office 2007 that has expired. (b) you had a 60-day trial version of Office 2007 that hasn't yet been activated. (c) You have a paid up licensed version of Office 2007 that hasn't yet been activated. Check Office button=>Word Options=>Resources=>Activate to see if the app reports that it has been activated. ================= <<"Daddy_P" <Daddy_P(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:55542E3F-3899-4A28-B9CF-52BA092F72A2(a)microsoft.com... From: Suzanne S. Barnhill on 16 Jul 2008 22:11 The most likely cause is that you are using a trial version of the software that has expired. If it is a retail version, have you activated it? -- Suzanne S.
