Hi ya all!!!

I'd like to install linux for the first time!

Which one to take? What to be careful about?
What about hardware support? What about the software that comes with the
distribution?

Tnx!

The one you see most commonly discussed in these newsgroups is the one to start
with. If you want a dual boot, be careful on partitioning. For the installation
itself answer the questions, sit back and do something enjoyable.

I use Redhat/Fedora as it was the the most popular when I started some seven
years ago. Ubuntu appears to be very popular today. Just be certain to get the
most recent release.

Thank you all for the tips on linux and newsgroups!

The reason I've posted the same questions is that I wasn't sure where to get
the right answer, as I've just subscribed. I would not do the same thing
now.
