Hi ,
I am after a bit of advice

When importing logos/text vector paths into fireworks as a AI file the paths
are becomeing distorted e.g.

1 letter characters split vertically down the middle
2 extraneous vector points distorting characters

Any ideas folks

Which version of Fw/Illustrator?
Can you share the vector file so I can test an import?

You can try downsaving to Illustrator 8, that tends to help.
