RedHat uses RPM binaries, Debian uses Deb binaries, Slackware uses TGZ binaries. PCLinuxOS uses the RPM package management system. There are over 7500 packages available for PCLinuxOS and you can download and install them via the Synaptic package manager that comes with your distribution.
