switch of the "list"-view in the property-inspector - then you
can edit the "chanels"-textfield ...

The screen shot I posted is in list view. Next to the channel property box there is a pen with a red slash through it signifying that the field is uneditable. How to I make the channel field editable?

As i wrote: switch it "off" not on: it is still a bug; you cant edit
the number of channels in this view. that's all.
