From: yomgui on 3 May 2008 11:21 hi, after a virus removal, my system has ping problems. I can browse the web via firefox but not via IE. I can ping the intranet but not the internet. pinging the internet doesn't work with plain name nor with numbers. using nmap I can scan port on ip addresse on the internet (it tells me to use the -PN option as ping doesn't respond) I have disabled the xp firewall, the other computers on the same network are working fine. and this laptop has the same problem on other network too. the problem is really inside this laptop and not on the router. I did reboot several times in vain. any idea ? thanks in advance yomgui
