Yeah, so far so good. Seem to have fixed the problems I was having with my
1950 Pro 512 AGP. Actually managed to play STALKER for an hour without a
single crash or glitch. Amazing.

That took how many versions? I long ago sold my X1650 Pro AGP for lack of 3D
function in Cat 7.6's and onward.

What the heck is ATI playing at? OK, STALKER, HL2 and HL2 EP1 now run fine
with 8.4 but Crysis is totally b0rked, major graphic corruption. Also
noticed that the DirectX3D tests (the spinning cube) in Dxdiag are messed
up. Was OK with 8.3. Never had this sort of trouble with my old Nvidia 6800
128Mb, would run anything, on low settings of course.

So the situation is - uninstall 8.4 and install 8.3 to play Crysis,
uninstall 8.3 and install 8.4 to play STALKER etc. Not good enough ATI!
