From: Andreas Moroder on 6 May 2008 06:45 Hello, I would like to print upside down characters with our ESC/P compatibel printers ( Epson LQ 680, Oki 390 FB etc. ) from a command line application. AFAIK there is no ESC sequence to do this, so I would like to use a customer character set with inverted characters. Does a possibly free character set generator for ESC/P exist or did someone already generate a custom character set with upside down characters ? Thanks Andreas
From: glathrem on 7 May 2008 06:08 What OS u using? Xp has a little known character editor. Look at the help in character map and see help for "private character editor". theres even a link in the help file to open it! You WILL have to create the characters yourself, one at a time. I'm sure there are probably other freeware font creators/editors on the net also. If it's only a small number of copies then laser printers have sufficiently good registration for a 2 pass job, one for right way up, one for upside down, you just have to tweak the margins to put the chars where you want. Probably works for inkjets as well. |
