UTC does not switch to DST. Run (as root) /usr/sbin/timeconfig and select your local time zone. Ciao Giovanni -- A computer is like an air conditioner, it stops working when you open Windows. What version of Slackware do you have? If it's older, have you updated the timezone files recently? If you haven't you won't have the recent DST changes made in the US. (IIRC some other countries made changes to their version of DST recently as well.) --keith -- kkeller-usenet(a)wombat.san-francisco.ca.us (try just my userid to email me) AOLSFAQ=http://www.therockgarden.ca/aolsfaq.txt see X- headers for PGP signature information
