From: argusy on 1 Apr 2008 05:10 My HTP P3600 on wm6 won't stay on the correct time for daylight saving. South Australia won't be going off DST until next weekend, so I think it's got something to do with that. It 'updated' on Sunday (taking the DST off), so I set DST back on. My pc running XP pro has also been returned to DST as well. When I sync the HTC, the time gets sync'ed to DST, and not the clock. i.e. my PC is now 11:57 pm correct SA time (on Daylight saving) my HTC is 11:57 pm If I hook up to the PC, after the sync is finished, my HTC will go to 10:57 pm. I turned off my ADSL modem, to see if it was picking up an internet clock, but it made no difference. If I sync from Activesync on the PC it doesn't change, but if I disconnect the HTC and re-connect, then it changes. What gives? (it's a PITA as it is)

(it's a PITA as it is) Is your mobile operator overriding the time and time zone settings? Go to Start/Settings/Phone and look for a "Time Zones" tab and then uncheck the "Automatically change time zone and clock" box. Hopefully now your set time will stay put.

If you have a registry editor on the device, check HKLM/Software/OEM/PhoneSetting for a key called "ShowTimeZonesPage" and change the value from"0" to "1", w it a few seconds, reboot and look for the TZ tab again.
