From: REID ALLEN on 23 Apr 2008 04:40 --_7ab244d8-3f7d-463b-b378-4b97d76f9169_ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Open Office seems to have a fixation on compatibility with Microsoft Word a= nd Excel. For those of us who use or have used Corel WordPerfect and Quat= troPro, Open Office is not very useful. QuattroPro especially has changed = considerably since version 6 and when I try to open later versions of Quatt= roPro with Calc I get a blank sheet. Please give consideration to fixing this blind spot. Until this is done I,= for one, do not find Open Office to be of much help since I try to avoid t= he use of Word and Excel as much as possible. I have many existing files i= n QuattroPro versions 9-12 and WordPerfect same versions. WordPerfect will= usually open in Open Office, but not QuattroPro. =20 Thanks. Reid C.
