From: guzoon on 11 May 2008 06:17 I got a spam e-mail to-day to one of my web addresses from the 'very same e-mail address as mine'. It was, say, from xyz(a)msn.com to xyz(a)msn.com. How is that possible? TIA

The specifications for SMTP email were originally designed for a kinder, gentler world without spammers. You can take a look at the message headers if you want more info, but it's generally futile trying to track down the scumbags one message at a time, to be honest.

There was no message just a spam heading about some designer footwear and bags. Can I pick your brains about another e-mail issue? For that same e- mail address, for the last couple of months, I am having to enter my password twice to get in. First time it says that e-mail address or the password is incorrect. I enter it a second time and all is well. I used to think that may be I mistype the password first time but that is clearly not the case. It happens to only this particular e-mail address with MSN, and not to my HOTMAIL addresses. Any thoughts as to what maybe happening? TIA

You'll want to check with MSN support. This is a Windows XP newsgroup - email in general is a little out of bounds as a topic, and specific applications or ISPs are definitely wide out of bounds. Good luck!
