From: Mike on 21 Jun 2007 06:38 Hi to all, i've read some posts that explain how to enable X11 forwarding to permit "export display" from a remote server to my local one. Firstable i can run, for example, xclock from a remote linux server to my local one. Problem. How can i do the same thing from a solaris box where there's no SSH installed ? [brugo(a)xxxxx ~]$ ssh -X root(a)yyyyy The authenticity of host 'yyyyy (10.1.31.213)' can't be established. RSA key fingerprint is c9:bf:1f: 82:27:e2:55:c7:a1:8b:f2:b2:10:db:f9:e5. Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes Warning: Permanently added 'yyyyy,10.1.31.213' (RSA) to the list of known hosts. root(a)yyyyy's password: Permission denied, please try again. root(a)yyyyy's password: Do i do something wrong ? Thanks Mike

It does not allow you to login as root, which is normal ssh configuration. Try logging in as a normal user. > Hi to all, i've read some posts that explain how to enable X11 > forwarding to > permit "export display" from a remote server to my local one. > Firstable i can run, for example, xclock from a remote linux server to > my local one. > Problem.
