Hi Guys
Thought I would give fedora 8 a spin
Downloaded a dvd image from the fedora project site

However after bootup it asks me for a username and password
During the instal I was asked to input a password for the root directory
but that's not what it wants?. Any ideas
Many Thanks

I tried Google but drew a Blank

The root password is for the root account. The username and password are
for your working account.

Hi
Yes I understand that, The trouble is, it is asking for a username and
password that I have not seen before, guess their must be a default one
, can't find anything in the manual either, you can't just
hit <return> either ,

Oh well back to XP I guess :=(

There should be two accounts root/pw and some_user/pw you entered
during install.

You normally login: some_user
passwd: some_user's passwd here

It's asking you to create a username and password.
Make a username up.
