From: M Wright on 28 Nov 2007 12:38 Hi Guys Thought I would give fedora 8 a spin Downloaded a dvd image from the fedora project site However after bootup it asks me for a username and password During the instal I was asked to input a password for the root directory but that's not what it wants?. Hi Yes I understand that, The trouble is, it is asking for a username and password that I have not seen before, guess their must be a default one , can't find anything in the manual either, you can't just hit <return> either , Oh well back to XP I guess :=( TYIA Later -- M Wright

Any ideas There should be two accounts root/pw and some_user/pw you entered during install. You normally login: some_user passwd: some_user's passwd here

Make a username up. > Oh well back to XP I guess :=( Don't be a fool.
