i am loading the same presentation on two computers. on one, a graphic shows,
but not on the other computer. doesn't make sense. both computers have the
same version of Office (2003 Pro). how can this be. Help ! thanks very much

On the problem machine, go to Help | Check for Updates and install at least
Service Pack 1 for Office 2003.

i now have updated to SP1. when you say "at least", is there another update?
or are you talking using "microsoft update"?

looks like sp3 did it (or SP2). i am now on sp3 and everything is good.

Great, glad to hear it.

As you noticed, there is an SP2 and an SP3 available for Office 2003. SP1
actually fixed the "missing pix" issue. I think 2 and 3 might be cumulative,
though...
