I have a webserver running on Solaris 8. However, when I run the
htpasswd it gave the following error mesg:


htpasswd: Cannot find ELF
Killed


Here is the output from uname -a

# uname -a
SunOS ax-ds01 5.8 Generic_117350-20 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10


Any idea?

That type of message is usually an indication that you are missing a
lib (or maybe its not in your path). Verify you LD_LIBRARY_PATH and
make sure the appropriate lib's for your environment are set correctly.
