It's the first distro I've used that got my wi fi working on a SMC PC Card. (Has atheros wireless support, not sure of Broadcom in HP.) CentOS 4.4 may also be a good substitute for FC 2. Doug

FC 6 would be a good substitute for FC2 ;-) A coworker has a Dell with an Intel internal Wifi adapter that didn't work with FC2, and he couldn't get downloaded drivers to work. It is supported natively (if I recall correctly) under FC6. Atheros chipsets are supported pretty well at http://MADwifi.org There are binary downloads available for some Linux distros. I have a DLink DWL-G630 running on Redhat AS3. The DWL-G630 has several different chipsets, depending on the version, so it's more important to know the chipset than the label on the outside. -- --- Clarence A Dold - Hidden Valley Lake, CA, USA GPS: 38.8,-122.5

it is built in. looking at the properties, it is a broadcom 802.11 a/b/g WLAN the driver date is 7/21/2005 version is 3.140.16.0 is this enough info on the card for you? my network lan card is a RealTek RTL8139/810x Family this laptop also includes bluetooth option from widcom inc driver version 4.01.2601 is this enough info on the specs. the person who replied with stating i had a broadcom card was right on the money. sorry for the lack of information on that. hope this helps you out in determining my issues.
