From: Dan on 19 Jan 2006 04:43 Every time I attempt to import a movie clip into iLife6/iMovie it "quits unexpectedly" = crashes. The movie clip is from my digital camera in format "movie.avi" -- supposed to be a common digital format. Any suggestions? Dan.

There's some reports that that's causing some grief with a few things. Not sure that iMovie was one of them though. Something else to try is to temporarily move all the items in your 'Movies' folder somewhere else and see if that cures it. Apparently the very recent Flip4Mac update - 2.0.1 - <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28842< fixes some of the problems. I have just installed it but have not had time for any quality furtling with iLife yet, sadly. -- bellajonez at yahoo dot co dot uk

But if you get the flip4mac 2.0.1 update all is fine again. > Something else to try is to temporarily move all the items in your > 'Movies' folder somewhere else and see if that cures it. The other possiblilty is that the AVI contains some sort of oddball encoded thing that Quicktime can't handle. AVI can encompass lots of things, so it isn't easy to say. Cheers, Chris
