More iWeb brickbats, although to be fair this is really for iMovie
rather than iWeb.

I created a video in iMovie 06, then chose the Share to iWeb option.
The resulting page was published on my site:

http://web.mac.com/mccalli (cheesy yes, I'm just playing and not
taking this site seriously).

Now, click on an iMovie 'Export to .Mac'-produced video from previous
version, such as the 'Sarah & Peter on the Mac' link. All fine, right?
Now click on the one I produced using iMovie 06, 'Sarah's first horse
ride'.

Oh dear. Where's the movie? Answer is: it's still downloading, because
in their infinite wisdom Apple does not set the movie up for streaming
when exporting from iMovie explicitly to iWeb. Wonderful. They -know-
it's going to go to a web site, so why on earth wouldn't they set up
the streaming options?

Bah.

Cheers,
Ian

Isn't there a difference between streaming - which requires a QuickTime
Streaming Server (QTSS) - and fast starting a downloading movie?

I guess they already do enough stuff that depends on .Mac servers for them
to use QTSS... Maybe that's for iLife 007.

Cheers,

Chris

Yes, you're right. Loose terminology on my part.

Anyway, I've reported this as a bug with iMovie 06. It -really- should
be set to fast start if you're exporting to the web, and choosing
'Share->iWeb' is a rather whacking great clue that the final film is
heading webwards.
