From: Angela Schaefer-Proctor on 30 Mar 2008 22:10 I purchased a new laptop with Vista today and I am trying to sync my iPAQ rx 3715 without Outlook. I am willing to use the windows calandar but just wanted to get my information into my new computer. Can I download something to my iPAQ? HELP!!
From: Beverly Howard [Ms-MVP/MobileDev] on 31 Mar 2008 11:20 there are a couple of web calendar sync options out there... the one I have used and like is goosync which syncs google's calendar to your PPC via an internet connection. takes a bit of effort to learn google's interface, but, when you get through that, it has a lot to like. It should be possible to export your current calendar and sync it into a google calendar account. suggest a google on POCKETPC CALENDAR WEB SYNC Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices]
From: Beverly Howard [Ms-MVP/MobileDev] on 31 Mar 2008 11:28 to clarify... goosync sync's both ways... so, if you sync with calendar events on your ppc, they will end up in the google calendar which can then be exported. Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices]

You can sync files and favorites, but synching contacts and calendar requires Outlook. > I am willing to use the windows calandar but just wanted to get my > information into my new computer. You can use a free Exchange account from mail2web.com to sync to an offsite Exchange server and view/edit the information in a browser window (Outlook Web Access,) or sync with 3rd-party tools to Google or Yahoo calendars. |
