I went into the o2 store yesterday to discuss getting my new iPhone on the 11th and they said they now had to be activated in store and thus bought with an o2 contract. They are considering pay as you go deals though with them. Its not a problem to me as I am on o2 but this may upset a few people.

Most things do :-) Did they say anything about having to turn in your current iPhone when upgrading for free? Given we paid full price for it I'd be inclined to tell them to take a hike. I think their special deal is they are letting us out of the first contract as the prices are the same for others. I think if you are on the 45 a month tarriff you get the 8GB free. -- David DigMo!
