I agree, I've got an n95 and an iPod Touch. The iPod Touch is
everything the iPhone is apart from the iTouch is a bit slimmer. But
the iPhone has a lovely interface which means a lot.

Hrm, as a comparison the 8Gb iPod Touch is 199 which does the same
stuff as the iPhone but doesn't have a phone, the iPhone is 8Gb and
costs 169 and does everything the iPod Touch does but is also a phone
and costs 40 less.

True, but don't forget the other extra you get with an iPhone, an 18
month minimum term contract at a minimum of 35 pounds per month.
If you don't need the phone, get an ipod Touch and save (35x18)-40
pounds.

Actually no - the airtime contract is only signed when you get back home and
activate the iPhone via iTunes. If you prefer you can use one of the
numerous free unlocking software solutions (e.g. ziphone) to jailbreak the
phone instead. You then have everything the iPod Touch does plus a phone
that you can use with any SIM, and also the ability to use 3rd party
applications. The only downside really is that you are potentially
jeopardising your warranty with Apple (though I believe you can revert the
phone to its factory state anyway if need be).

From: Telephoneman on
I already have an O2 contract (Simplicity 15 per month) would I still need
to unlock the phone or can I just swap the SIMs?

TIA

Liam
