I walked into CPW on Friday with a view to doing the same thing. They produced a contract that they wanted me to sign saying (amongst other things) that I agreed to activate the phone on O2 within 7 days and that I would sign an 18 month contract for 35 a month with O2. I told them that I wasn't prepared to enter into a contract to enter into a contract, particularly when I haven't seen the Ts & Cs. I made my excuses and left empty handed

The only way to officially activate the iPhone is through setting up a new contract in iTunes, so if you want to use a SIMplicity contract (even though it is still O2) you will still need to jailbreak the iPhone with ziphone (or similar).

Dunno, but if it's a hardware failure then it's faulty hardware. A colleague got one from America last year and it had a faulty battery after a month and Apple (US) replaced the phone. Obviously if the phone is bricked then it's bricked nomatter which way you look about it. Are Apple going to be able to turn it on without fixing or replacing it? No. -- -- Nick ICQ: 9235201 EMAIL & MSN: nickmooney(a)spamcop.net -- Triumph Tiger 955i -- http://www.bgn.me.uk -- Touch - -- LOTR#4 SKOGA#8 DS#7 BOTAFOT#159 BOTM#2 FBOTY#06 PM#11 |
