From: BGN on 16 Apr 2008 01:20 According to BBC News <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7349101.stm> the iPhone is now 169 at the o2 store and the carphone whorehouse on the 8Gb model until 1st June. One assumes that in June the 3G iPhone mark 1 will be announced and they're just clearing their old stock. CPW/o2 seem to be saying that this is a special offer and therefore the iPhone at Apple stores is still 100 more. I just had a squint at o2.co.uk and they seem to be wanting 269 still and so is the carphone warehouse website. Anyway, I don't have any o2 coverage where I live so it's not much use to me. (Also, can someone clarify: If I buy an iPhone do I sign up for the contract there and then? The o2 website seems to imply that I buy the handset and then get home and select a tariff?) -- -- Nick ICQ: 9235201 EMAIL & MSN: nickmooney(a)spamcop.net -- Triumph Tiger 955i -- http://www.bgn.me.uk -- Touch - -- LOTR#4 SKOGA#8 DS#7 BOTAFOT#159 BOTM#2 FBOTY#06 PM#11

I only noticed that site because I was unlocking a nokia for a mate, I suspect with a bit of research there are simpler ways.. but you are right it appears to be that simple, I have played with an i-phone thought about it... not convinced I would spend 169 on one though, my flakey old N70 can still be used as a modem with the laptop, Des
